Winter Guard

Winter Guard begins after the Fall marching season has ended and continues through the Winter & Spring . Winter Guard personnel is made up of those who participated in the Fall Color Guard.

Winter Guards learn a choreographed routine and compete inside gymnasiums to recorded music. These routines involve, dance movements and the handling of flags, rifles and sabers. Winter Guards are judged on the complexity of their routine and their ability to perform the routine. Color Guard wear costumes related to the theme of the show and also need to supply dance shoes.

Competitions are hosted by the Winter Guard International (WGI) and Winter Guard Association of Southern California (WGASC).

Parents are encouraged to help in many ways: assist with fundraising, help with tarps and props, help with costumes, transport and move equipment at competitions, donate water, snacks, pizza, etc. All Guard parents are encouraged to assist.
